since Thanksgiving was this past weekend and my previous posts have been so depressing, i am going list things that i am thankful for.
And i know that everyone talks about their family and friends but here i go anyway…
1. My family— I’m not going to sit here and say i have the perfect family, because we are far from perfect. But we loved each other as much as we can and we would do just anything for each other. I will start off with my mother, i truly believe that she is one of the best mothers. Yes she has her own problems and issues but i think that my brother and i are just so well raised and i really think that is so much due to her. She loves us more than anything in the world. In the past few years she really has become one of my best friends. I know that i can tell her anything but she doesn’t make me tell her anything. She pushes me hard, but not too hard that its all about her. I love her more than anything in the entire world and honestly i don’t know what i would do without her. Then comes my brother, who is 21. I cant imagine not having him in my life. He is truly one of my best friends. We always have so much fun together and we know that we have each others back. He has always been there to support and protect me, even when i thought i didn’t need it. And he knows that i will always be there for him if he ever needs anything. God made us siblings but we chose to be best friends. Then there is my dad. Although many times he makes me very angry and isn’t always the most positive person, i do know that he loves and cares about me so much and i couldn’t ask for much more. He is someone i can learn a lot from, in many different aspects. My father is a graduate of an Ivy League college and is extremely smart and he offers me a lot of information and knowledge that i would never have learned in schools. But i also learn from him what not it be. He is sometimes so angry and dramatic, i have learned to almost always look on the bright side of things. Which is a lesson that can not really be taught. I have an amazing extended family who is always there for me and support me through thick and thin.
2. My amazing friends— I do have some of the best friends ever. I know that i have gone through some friends and the some friendships fade while others blossom and that i just a part of life. But the friends i have now are incredible. I have been friends with my best friend since 1st grade. We have never had a real fight (knock on wood). She is one of the only people who takes me for who i really am and who know exactly who i am. She knows how to make me feel better but also isn’t afraid to tell me what i need to hear. She keeps me grounded and i thank God every day that she is my best friend. My other best friend i have known since summer before 8th grade but i only really became really good friends with her Junior year of high school and now she is one of the people who always knows how to make me laugh and feel better. Again, i don’t know what i would do without her in my life. She is someone i know i can tell a secret to and i know that it will stay a secret. She has always got my back and has supported me though recent tough times. <3 i have a group of amazing other friends from high school who i know i will be friends with forever. We always have such a great time together, and i can really be myself around them.
